#TeamEitel Suggestion Box

Friends,

One of my goals for 2015 is to make #TeamEitel better. Not with the amount of funds raised, that’s always a personal goal, but what TeamEitel can do as a group, community, service and resource. Ideas like more events, or more information pertaining to drugs, research, stories, or other types of events TeamEitel should host are types of recommendations we are looking for. What types of events would you like to see us get together or involved with? What type of information do you need to get involved or share to your coworkers, friends and family? TeamEitel will continue to operate as a primary local team for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s annual; Light the Night Walk event and I encourage anyone to join TeamEitel or create your own team. With that said it is my goal to branch out from just TeamEitel and LLS and support as many credible causes and individuals that we can. For example, I’ve signed up for a 200km+ ride in June to support a Canadian Cancer Centre and I plan to continue routinely giving blood.

So, I’m reaching out to all of you and would appreciate any and all feedback regarding how #TeamEitel can improve and build as a community. I’m set to do big things in 2015 and with your help and suggestions it would elevate my ability to provide more people with needed information that I may currently be missing.

Thank you

Dad Bike

The man behind my motivation for the 200km ride to conquer cancer and so much more. My dad was a BEAST, just look at him, what a stud. Thanks for the good genes pops, I?m not sure I?ll go the short shorts route anytime soon, maybe after my training that will be accepted, we?ll see haha. An educator, a life saver, an innovator, a father, a friend; compassionate and humble. The man led a life full of passion and purpose, something that I feel so many have trouble with. I?ve dedicated every day of the last few years to living and being with passion and a purpose. I?ve learned that creating a positive environment and mentality is habitual, it brings about a consistent peace and gives purpose. I?ve learned to accept and embrace my emotions, experience them and let them go, to live in the moment, in the now. One of the biggest lessons I learned was to let go of my expectations of the world, set goals but don?t stay so bound to them that you stress yourself into negativity, life does not go as planned, the only expectations you should have are of yourself, be who and what you say you are, follow through. Step outside and off your smart phone, disconnect – unsubscribe to these force fed lists telling you what life, relationships and experiences are and go experience them for yourself. Create your own journey. I?m excited to see where my cyclocross journey takes me. However with snow on the ground, I?m taking out the mtb.

Cheers!

I will be riding “The Classic” Course Route which is Toronto to Niagara Falls: a historic 200+ kilometre route. It is a two day journey and I’m extremely excited to take on this challenge. 200km = 124.274miles. I’ll be riding along side my cousin and hopefully more family and friends will join. Please get in contact with me if you’d like to join the team! I’m currently training on a Specialzed FSR Camber, your continued donations will elevate my training and I’ll be sharing my training story with you as much as possible.
22 weeks and 2 days away – June 13-14, 2015
* I intend to get a custom shirt/jersey made to include everyone’s name who supports me with a donation for this ride that way you’ll be with me every pedal, every mile. You’re support is greatly appreciated. Follow the link below if you’d like to make a donation and support me in my training and ride!
